Booking Terms & Conditions

Please take the time to read and understand the conditions of booking set out below prior to booking a trip with The Terrible Tour Guide Travel. We strongly recommend that you also read the Notes/ inclusions relating to your trip prior to booking to ensure that you understand the itinerary and style of the trip you are undertaking.

1. BOOKING STATUS
All services described in the detailed itineraries will be booked after receiving your approval and confirmation of the proposal. In case some services cannot be confirmed, you will be informed immediately and offered with an alternative.

2. DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT
You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% for your booking to be confirmed (please note that special deposit requirements apply for some trips). If your booking is made within 60 days of the departure date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Acceptance of your booking will be confirmed by us in writing. Please refer to your booking confirmation invoice for details regarding final payments. Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 60 days before the departure date. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled. In addition to the trip price you may also be required to pay a kitty as specified for the trip you are taking.

3. CANCELLATIONS
If you cancel your booking, cancellation fees will be applied. The effective date of cancellation will be the date we receives written notification. The cancellation charge to the you is described as follows:

– More than 15 days prior to departure: We will retain the deposit
– 14 – 08 days prior to departure: 50% of the tour price is forfeited
– Less than 07 days prior to departure: 100 % of the tour price is forfeited

4. CHILD POLICY
Less than 2 years old are free of charge for tour, from 2 to 5 years old = 50% charge for tour, from 5 to 10 years old 75% charge for tour. 11 years old & up = 100% (charged as an adult).

5. FLEXIBILITY
You appreciate and acknowledge that the nature of this type of travel requires considerable flexibility and you should allow for alternatives. The itinerary provided for each trip is representative of the types of activities contemplated but it is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events.

6. PHOTOGRAPHY
During your trip, The Terrible Tour Guide Travel reserves the right to take photographs and to use them for promotional purposes. By making a reservation with us, you agree to allow your images to be used in such photographs.

7. COMPLAINTS
-While on tour please communicate your wishes and/or difficulties to our staff (on time). Our guides are very often the only ones who can really help you.
-Please do not wait the end of the tour to make your comments or suggestions, or talk about what you feel, need or wish. No claims will be accepted if not mentioned to the guides.

8. INSURANCE
You are required to have full travel insurance covered.
